Conservation and preservation:
Graphite crucibles should be protected from moisture. Graphite crucibles are afraid of being affected by moisture, which will have a great impact on the quality. If the crucible is used, it will rupture, burst, fall out, and fall off, which will cause the loss of molten metal and even accidents. Therefore, graphite crucibles must be protected from moisture during storage and use.
The warehouse where graphite crucibles are stored should be dry and ventilated, and the temperature should be kept between 5 ℃ ~ 25 ℃, and the relative humidity should be 50 ~ 60%. Do not store the crucible on brick soil or cement floor to avoid moisture. The graphite crucible in bulk should be placed on a wooden stand, preferably 25-30cm above the ground; the whole package packed in a wooden box, wicker basket or straw bag must have a sleeper under the pallet, not less than 20cm from the ground. Putting a layer of linoleum on the sleepers is more conducive to moisture isolation. For a period of time, the stack must be inverted, and the lower layer should be inverted, so that the upper and lower layers are relatively opposite. The time interval for stacking should not be too long. Generally, the stacking should be done once every two months. If the ground is not too humid, it can be reversed once every three months. In short, it is necessary to get a good moisture-proof effect by inversion.
